Keelung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital

Keelung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital was established in April 5, 1985, with a special interest in emergency, critical, and advanced medical care. A new hospital branch specializing in oncology, mental health, rehabilitation, and community health was opened in November 03, 2006 in the Lover’s Lake region. The Lover’s lake branch of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital also has facilities established for clinical research and clinical teaching.

The strong cooperation of the healthcare personnel between the two branches (Keelung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and Lover’s Lake Chang Gung Memorial Hospital) provides for comprehensive medical healthcare services for the residents in Keelung.The standard design of two branch hospitals is based on the large general hospitals and teaching hospitals, including the purchase of various precision ‎equipment and subdivision of various specialties to engage more professional medical services. The total numbers of beds are 1,089 beds. The service member team has more than 2,000 people, including attending physicians, residents, nursing staff, medical technicians, and administrative staff. We serve more than 928,000 patients in the outpatient clinics, 77,000 patients in the emergency department, and 30,000 inpatients. At the national level, the hospital was appraised as a high quality hospital by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

The hospital aims to continue to provide the best care for our patients by improving the standards of medical and nursing care, cultivating a team of remarkable healthcare personnel. The hospital has also achieved numerous national-level accreditation or certification, including Hospital Accreditation, Teaching Hospital Accreditation, Health Promoting Hospital Certification, Severe Emergency Medical Responsibility Hospital, and Cancer Care Quality Certification. We are also privileged to have achieved the Certificate of Symbol, National Quality award with gold, silver, and bronze prizes, presenting the true spirit of “endless pursuit of the perfection for humanities”.

In recent years, the hospital has enhanced the patient services by expanding its medical and nursing services. The setup of the “Heart Failure Center”, “Positron Emission Tomography Center” and “Chronic Kidney Disease Prevention Center”, also served to provide holistic and specialized medical care for our patients. We will continue to strive to provide the best care for the people in the Northeastern region of Taiwan.
